The brief
Chosen from my flash collection: an engraving-style woodland fox.
The approach
Engraving builds fur from layers of fine, directional lines, so most of the hatching sits in the tail and chest. At a small-to-medium size I kept the line spacing open enough to stay clear as the tattoo settles and ages.
