The Artist Behind blinc.ink
I’m Clive Camilleri — an artist with over five years of creative practice behind me, and the founder of blinc.ink, established in 2025.
My artistic life started with watercolour painting: hours spent learning how pigment moves, how light sits on paper, and how much can be said with restraint. Watercolour teaches you patience, and it teaches you that every single mark counts.
Over time I found myself drawn to the opposite end of the spectrum — the bold, uncompromising contrast of vintage flash, antique engravings and woodcut prints. Those old-world images have a quiet authority that never goes out of style, and translating that into skin felt like the natural next chapter.
blinc.ink is where those two worlds meet: a painter’s eye for composition and balance, applied to clean, timeless black ink tattoos that are made to be worn for a lifetime.
Why I Always Put My Clients First
Many people put off getting tattooed for years because traditional studios can feel cliquey, loud, or dismissive. You walk in, nobody looks up, and asking a question feels like an inconvenience.
I built blinc.ink to be the exact opposite — structured, transparent, welcoming, and ego-free. You’ll know the price before you arrive, you’ll see the stencil as many times as you need, and you can pause whenever you want. Your first tattoo or your fifteenth, you’ll be treated exactly the same.

The Design Process

A no-obligation conversation
Every design begins with a relaxed, friendly chat on WhatsApp. We talk through your idea, placement, size and budget, and I answer every question — so you feel completely at ease before anything is designed.
- 02 · Research
Old-world inspiration
I dig into vintage flash sheets, antique engravings, woodcut prints and etched book plates, studying how the old masters built tone from nothing but line, hatch and negative space.
- 03 · Design
Drawn & refined digitally
Your piece is drawn and refined in Procreate on the iPad, where line weights are balanced for skin and the design is sized and fitted precisely to your placement. On the day we review it together and tweak until it’s exactly right.
- 04 · Skin
Applied to last, supported after
Your tattoo is applied with care and precision so it heals cleanly and lasts a lifetime — and my support doesn’t end when you leave the chair. Every client gets ongoing aftercare support: send a photo on WhatsApp anytime and I’ll check in on your healing.
